COLESVILLE, NEW YORK — State police in New York say a man from Lackawanna County was electrocuted Monday morning.
State troopers say Thomas Tarchak, 39, of Simpson was inspecting a steel railroad bridge when he came in contact with electrical wires.
Officers say Tarchak was an employee with Canadian Pacific Railway and was working in a bucket truck obtaining measurements when the lift came into contact with a New York State Electric power line.
Investigators say it happened in Colesville, just north of Binghamton.
New York State Police are continuing their investigating into the electrocution.
