WNEP-TV’s “Ryan’s Run 4” campaign is now underway.

About “Ryan’s Run”:

The charity campaign is focused on helping kids and adults with disabilities at Allied Services throughout Northeastern & Central Pennsylvania.

“Ryan’s Run” involves Newswatch 16’s morning man Ryan Leckey and nearly 50 other area runners who will take a trek in the world famous ING NYC Marathon this Fall. But before the 26.2 mile journey, Ryan and “Team Leckey” are raising as much money as possible for the cause to help people here at home.

To get involved in the campaign, head to Allied Services’ “Ryan’s Run” website.  There, you can donate to the cause, get a cool workout shirt, keep up to date on RR4 events, and have a chance to get your school featured on LIVE-TV or even win a Fiat 500 lease for a year.

A Few Fun Facts:

To date, “Ryan’s Run” has raised more than a half million dollars to help kids and adults with disabilities throughout Northeastern & Central Pennsylvania.

The campaign has also received multiple honors. “Ryan’s Run” was recently named by the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters as an “Outstanding Television Public Service Campaign.”

The ING NYC Marathon committee also recognized the campaign as a Bronze Charity because of the significant amount of money it raises each year in such a short amount of time.  The Bronze Charity status puts “Ryan’s Run” on the same world stage as the Michael J. Fox & the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundations.
