HARRISBURG — A judge ruled there is enough evidence to send former Senator Bob Mellow, along with five defendants to trial, in what has become known as a “Pay to Play” scheme.
A preliminary hearing wrapped up Tuesday in Harrisburg.
The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office accuses Mellow and three former officials with the Pennsylvania turnpike of awarding multi-million dollar contracts to vendors who made financial contributions to public officials.
The six men face charges of bribery, bid rigging, theft and conflict of interest.
They are all set to be arraigned in September.
