RUSH TOWNSHIP -- A crash late Sunday morning closed Route 54 for several hours Sunday, near Elysburg in Northumberland County.
According to State Police, Brian Stanley, 27, of Elysburg, died in the two-car crash that happened along Route 54 in the area of High Road in Rush Township, just outside Elysburg.
Investigators say the driver of the pick-up truck was headed east when the vehicle drifted into the oncoming lane and struck Stanley's car then flipped over and landed on it's roof.
State Police report no seat belts were worn at the time of the deadly crash.
Two people in the pick-up were seriously hurt and taken to the hospital for treatment.
The investigation continues into the deadly crash in Northumberland County.
