LONG POND --- The race at Long Pond this weekend didn't just bring Indy racing back to the Poconos,  it also brought a hometown boy back home.

Keith Paltjon of Berwick is the head chef for the Indy Race League.

He has been traveling with the league for nine years and this is the closest to his hometown the league has ever raced.

He says its great to make a stop in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

"They said hey you want to come out and work on the road, and i said when do you need me? So that's why a race like this, coming close to home is really nice.  We actually got to spend the afternoon of the fourth at mom and dad's house so that was fantastic, " said Paltjon.

Paltjon is a 1996 graduate of Berwick High School.
