MCADOO — A spokesperson for Lehigh Valley Hospital says that Madison Arner, the young girl pulled from a fire late Saturday night, was still in critical condition as of 7:50 p.m. Sunday.

Earlier Sunday, a McAdoo Fire Company official said the girl had died, which WNEP reported.

We apologize for any confusion this created.

Arner was taken to the hospital along with her sister, 16-year-old Savana Searfoss, their mother 45-year-old Lorraine Searfoss, and 21-year-old Dylan Danko.

The four were rescued from a home located directly across from the fire station on South Kennedy Drive.

At the time, firefighters were in the station cleaning up after a fundraiser.

Fire officials say they were able to make the rescues quickly, and that if they had not been so nearby, they might have been dealing with multiple fatalities.
