Council Member Enters Plea In Drug Case

STROUDSBURG — The vice president of Stroudsburg borough council pleaded guilty to a drug charge Monday morning.

Neil Allen was arrested last month and charged with having drugs after police say they found heroin in his pants.

At his preliminary hearing, Allen pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance.

He must pay a $2,500 dollar fine.

It’s not known yet if Allen will keep his seat on Stroudsburg council.
