MINERSVILLE -- A benefit was held Saturday night to help a family who lost their two children in a car wreck in March.

3-year-old Catrina Williams and 6-year-old Carianna Kroh were killed when the car they were riding in was hit on Route 61 in West Brunswick Township.

A dinner dance was held at Hillcrest Hall in Minersville.

There was live music and plenty of food donated by businesses.

"It's amazing, the support from the community and all over the state and all over the country," said Catrina's father Edward Williams. "The lady that threw this benefit, she has no connection to the family members, never met her in my life and she did this."

Money collected will help with funeral expenses for the girls.

The family says some of the money raised from this event will go toward community projects in Minersville.
