Judge Grants Separate Trials To Old Forge Accused

SCRANTON — A judge in Lackawanna County has ruled Old Forge Police Chief Larry Semenza and Police Captain Jamie Krenitsky will have separate trials.

The judge made his ruling this week.

The defendants asked for separate trials last month.

Prosecutors accuse both men of sexually abusing a young woman several years ago when she was just 15.

A former Old Forge firefighter Walter Chiavacci pleaded guilty in connection with the case last year.
