POCONO TOWNSHIP -- A bridge in Monroe County, closed since last spring, has reopened.
The span carrying Route 314 over Swiftwater Creek near Mount Pocono opened to traffic Wednesday afternoon.
PennDOT closed the original bridge last May because of structural problems.
Since then, crews replaced the bridge, made improvements to the road and replaced guiderails.
