CLIFTON TOWNSHIP -- One person is dead after a two-vehicle collision on Saturday morning in Lackawanna County.
Michael Evans, of Archbald was killed after the jeep he was driving in collided with a tractor trailer on Route 435, at the Phillips Road intersection, near Gouldsboro.
According to officials, it happened just after 1 a.m., when the driver of the Jeep Cherokee drove into the path of a Freightliner when attempting to cross the intersection.
After impact, the jeep rolled over striking several utility poles, and came to rest on its roof.
The investigation continues.
