TUNKHANNOCK — Some veterans received some long-overdue recognition Tuesday in Wyoming County.

Congressman Lou Barletta awarded medals to four military veterans during a ceremony at the Wyoming County Courthouse in Tunkhannock.

Wesley Virtue, Miles Dooley, Paul Hegedty and the late Ross Harvey all served in the armed forces between 1943 and 2012.

Barletta said the medals may be long overdue, but their presentation today reminds everyone the sacrifices they made for the country.
