The Golden Knights have found their golden team this season.  This group has played together over the past few years almost year round and have the right team chemistry with an unbreakable bond.

"We're all friends.  We like to joke around a lot.  Our chemistry is a big reason why we win because we all share the ball well, great passes, we all play good defense. We're just a good team," said senior Jordan Cole.

For the knights to play 17 games with zero losses is a great accomplishment by any means, but it puts a big target on their backs for any opponent to try to give them their first loss.

"It is a big thing for them.  It's exciting for the school, for the community, the people who come to watch us and everybody's really bought into it so in that regard it's a great thing, but as far as we're concerned, every game is the final game," said head coach Paul Petcavage.

"The Knights' undefeated season is a big deal because it's something the program hasn't done in a long time, if ever.  But the perfect record will be challenged in their next two games against tough teams: Sullivan County on Saturday and Bloomsburg next week.

"It's going to be really tough.  I think we're going to have to play as a team to win it.  They're going to come out ready to play so we just have to match their intensity," said junior Alize Johnson.

"We lost three times to Sullivan last year so playing them we have kind of a grudge against them so we'll play tough. "

It's all fine into February, but the Golden Knights hope to have a marvelous March as they make the transition from an undefeated season to a championship season.
