MOOSIC -- Frozen tundra is usually a football thing, but crews at PNC Field were shoveling snow to make room for baseball fans

While construction continues, the team put on an open house so supporters like four-year old Isabella Quinn and her family can see what's on deck

When asked what she thinks of the new field, Isabella responded, "I love it!"

After years of uncertainty and a season with no home games, freezing folks seemed to be warming up to the new and improved venue

"Exciting, exciting, they have taken it to new level" said Diane Devans, of Hanover Township.

While many visitors picked up a porcupine logo RailRiders shirt, the hottest item may have been season tickets

With available seats marked by balloons, more than 100 packages sold during just the first hour to people like Charlie Perella

"My seats are just perfect here, the concession stand is right here. And it's a beautiful stadium," said Perella.

When he returns in April he'll be able to enjoy plenty of bells and whistles including a concourse that extends all the way around the park

"In right field there will be a seven-foot tall by 150 foot long high-definition led wall. So the entire right field wall will be a HD video board," said Rob Crain, the RailRiders President and General Manager.

We got a sneak peek at the indoor areas under construction including suites with major league views

The club section, the largest in the international league, is already more than 95% sold out. But no matter where they plan to sit, everyone we met can't wait to hear, play ball

"A beautiful backdrop. We didn't lose the mountain or the snow behind it looks tremendous," said Dick Devans. "The old park was tired. It didn't fit today's game. So I think everybody's gonna love it here."

"This is where we belong. This is home," said Diane Devans.
