A band based in Northeastern Pennsylvania has a shot to play on one of the biggest stages in music.

Members of “Farley,” who are mostly from Lackawanna County, are among the nominees in The Grammys Gig of a Lifetime contest.

It’s a chance for unsigned bands from across the country to play at the awards show next month in Los Angeles.

“Just to be on that kind of a stage and have that kind of exposure would be fantastic, not only for my band but for the music industry in this area. A lot of great bands, a lot of great talent, and to bring some attention to this area would be fantastic,” said the band’s lead singer, Tim Farley.

Farley released their first album in 2011.

Fans can vote for Farley until tomorrow night on Facebook or by downloading The Grammys app on Iphones.
