Geisinger Medical Center is temporarily prohibiting children under the age of five from visiting children’s and women’s inpatient units.
It’s because of an increase in cases of a respiratory virus called RSV this time of year.
Officials at Geisinger said the restrictions are usually lifted at the end of the winter season when the risk of RSV infection passes.
