MOUNT POCONO -- There was quite a crowd at Lowe's in Mount Pocono as folks rushed to empty the shelves after a supply of generators were delivered.

Just half an hour after the truck unloaded those generators, they were gone!

Folks were lined up at Lowe`s in Mount Pocono after a morning delivery of 80 generators.

Those who were in line and got tickets were able to buy a generator.

Thousands are still in the dark in the Poconos after Sandy tore through Monday night.

“We have a summer house up here, and we`re hoping to get this to get the water out of the basement, electricity has been out for two days, so I came down to Lowe’s and lucked out. The truck just arrived,” said Roger Williams of Lansdale.

Some even came from out of state for the delivery, unable to find generators anywhere else.

They were willing to pay $800 dollars.

Some people who got generators said they feel like they won the lottery.

“Absolutely, everybody inside is currently in a good mood, laughed because they ran it very well,” said Ruth Berke of Brooklyn.

Workers at Lowe`s said they expect another delivery of generators, but they`re not sure when.
