MOUNTAINHOME -- A day like no other at Pleasant Ridge Farm in Monroe County.

Picture perfect skies, horses in the pasture, and a brand new barn.

One much deserved said owner, Briana Yetter.

"I always said you deserve that when you through something like that you deserve to have a top notch facility," said Yetter.

What Yetter went through was a devastating blaze ripped through her horse barn.

The fire sparked on the second floor, causing it to collapse.

Nine horses and one pig were killed in the fire. One pig did make it out alive.

Investigators ruled it accidental. Yetter said it was awful.

"We're all trying to look towards a positive and new beginning, a future here, the past will always be there, we're all going to carry that with us forever," said Yetter.

Yetter said help came from all over to help her rebuild, donations of equipment and words of encouragement.

She said insurance helped pay for the $200,000 barn where the old one stood. One that is now safer for all those involved.

"This was built with a lot more safety precautions in mind, every single stall has an interior door and exterior door and there's doors everywhere in this barn always a way in always a way out," said Yetter.

Yetter said the support from the community has been overwhelming, one woman put together a memorial to honor and remember the lives lost.

"When you are faced with something so devastating it feels good to know that somebody else out there is saying we're here for you, we understand," said Yetter.
