LA PLUME TOWNSHIP — State police are investigating a deadly crash in Lackawanna County.
According to troopers, Thomas McGurk, 76, from the Nicholson area was killed, when his sport/utility vehicle flipped on Route 11 northbound near the entrance to Tall Timbers Village in La Plume Township.
McGurk was taken to Geisinger Community Medical Center where he died shortly after arrival.
The coroner said McGurk died of massive injuries in the crash.
