The City Team is ready to put on a show in this year's Dream Game. Delaware Valley head coach Keith Olsommer leads the way, and he's going with Holy Cross quarterback Rob Heyen as the starter.
"I'll tell you what he is a special athlete. He's a big tall lanky guy. He can run well. He is fun to watch. He is awfully fun to watch. I'm looking forward to see what he can do tomorrow night," said Keith Olsommer.
"Certainly you're facing a lot of history with the County with Coach Pazzaglia. The guy has been around for a while this is his 6th time coaching the dream game. What are your thoughts on obviously facing the County and what are you expecting from them? I played against him three times at Holy Cross while he was at Mid Valley. He coached at Mid Valley so I played against him three times so I know a little bit of what he is about and he's old fashion, but he knows how to coach and he is a great coach so I'm expecting to see what they have in store for us and I think we are in good shape to win," said Rob Heyen.
"It's been a lot of fun obviously the competition level is stepped up from your regular high school team. It's a lot of fun playing with these guys," said John Gething.
The County will bring a lot at you with Antonio Russo at tailback, Colin Carey at quarterback, Eric Laytos and Tyler Kapinus, but it will be up to the city linebacker Eric Pabst out of Scranton High School to stop that County attack.
"I'm trying to hit all of them. I'm trying to go out there with a bang, and do what i could and get the W," said Eric Pabst.
"I think it's pretty easy for these guys. I don't think there's a division champion here. All the division champions I believe are on the County side and there not stupid but they turn on the press in week 7, week 8, week 9, week 10 and these guys are not getting interviewed and then there's some pretty good football players out there and they remember those things. They feel slighted a little bit. This is their opportunity to prove that their pretty good ball players too," again said Keith.
They kickoff the 78th annual Dream Game is Wednesday night at Scranton Memorial Stadium at 7:30pm.
