SALEM TOWNSHIP — A man from Berwick now faces homicide charges for a deadly crash in Luzerne County.
Investigators believe Theodore Luciw was under the influence when he crashed his pickup into a vehicle on Route 11 just outside Berwick in January killing 84-year-old Rachel Wolfe.
Police spent hours at the scene of the wreck gathering evidence and reconstructing the scene.
Prosecutors filed homicide by vehicle while DUI charges against Luciw Wednesday.
Newswatch 16 has learned Luciw pleaded guilty to DUI charges in the past in Luzerne and Columbia Counties.
