Couple Arrested in Drug Bust

A couple in Susquehanna County was arrested after state probation and parole officers found heroin in their home last Thursday.

Probation officers were conducting a regular check on Steven and Shawna Whritenour at their Oakland home when they found a box containing heroin.  The couple was immediately taken into custody.

Police raided the house and found 13 bricks and four bundles of heroin, nine syringes, three cell phones containing text messages used for drug buys, and some cash.

The Whritenours were arraigned Monday and were taken to a Susquehanna County jail.
