District 11 Track and Field Championships

Langston Northern the senior from Stroudsburg dominated the District 11 Track and Field Championships Thursday night at Whitehall.

Northern won the 100 and the 200 meter dash in boy's AAA. In the 100 Langston finished first in a winning time of 11.04 seconds and then set a new District 11 record in the 200 with a winning time of 21.66 seconds. Northern also anchored the 4 x 100 meter relay team posting a time of 42.40.

Ben Kloepping from Stroudsburg won the boy's 110 high hurdles in 15.54 seconds.

Quay Rogers also from Stroudsburg too the long jump with a leap of 22 feet 7 1/2 inches.

Monty Szukics from Palmerton a triple winner at the district meet in AA. Szukics won the 100 in 11.13 seconds, the 200 in 21.95 seconds setting a new District 11 record and took part in the winning 4 x 100 relay team.

Dominique Homer from East Stroudsburg South won the girl's AAA 100 meter dash in 12.42 seconds.

Erin Madison from Pocono Mountain East won the girl's AAA 100 hurdles in 15.61 seconds.

Kelsey Patrick from Tamaqua won the girl's AA 1600 meter run in 5:18 seconds.

Christine Streisel  from Tamaqua won the girl's AA javelin event with a throw of 151 feet 10 inches. Streisel is the defending AA State Champion in the AA Javelin and is currently ranked #2 in the nation.
