A jury in Luzerne County convicted a man from Pittston Township of first-degree murder for the death of a woman from Pittston.
Arthur Stoss was charged with killing Lillian Calabro last March and dumping her body in the Susquehanna River.
Stoss and Calabro were seen leaving a bar in Pittston together March 11, 2011. That was the last time she was seen. Her body was found nine days later.
A guilty verdict of first-degree murder means an automatic life sentence without parole.
