Police are investigating what caused a deadly head-on collision in the back mountain of Luzerne County.
According to state police, the crash happened around 11 p.m. Sunday in Hunlock Creek along Sorbertown Road.
A car and a van smashed into each other.
The man driving the car died at the scene.
A passenger in the car and the driver of the van were both flown to a hospital, with what police called severe injuries.
The name of the man killed has not been released.
