A retired man from Barnesville is a million dollars richer thanks to the Pennsylvania Lottery and an instant ticket.

You can almost feel the excitement in the Brown Bag Grocery Store in Barnesville. A copy of the winning ticket is posted. It will put a million dollars in the pocket of the 70-year-old man who doesn't want to be identified yet.

Liz Strollis said she sold the winning ticket. "He went home went through the couple of tickets he bought, he had a couple of winners, he bought a couple more. He went out the to the parking lot and came in and I was filling the soda machine and said, 'Hurry up, come here. I think I won.' I was joking with him. I said, 'What did you win, $500?' He said, 'No I think I won a million! "

Strollis said she was more excited than the new millionaire. "I said, 'Oh my god you won a million dollars! " Strollis said.

All day people were coming into the store took a look at the winning ticket, including Larry Oatman, Kim Sponseller and Matt Bartol.

"It's pretty neat. It's nice for local people to come out and see what it's all about, see where the winning ticket is, what the winning ticket is. It's just neat for the people of the area," Bartol said.

Sponseller said she's a regular lottery player.

"I buy tickets in here all the time, I won $5,000 once. That`s all I ever won. It was right before Christmas, we had a nice Christmas," Sponseller said.

Oatman said he buys tickets but won't increase it because of the local win. "If anybody gets it I would like to see ordinary working person or something get that money," he said.
