Susan Gallagher is the administrator of the Carbon County Environmental Education Center. She is a naturalist specializing in environmental educational children’s programs. Susan has been involved with Pennsylvania Outdoor Life for over a decade. The Carbon County Environmental Education Center has been involved in every one of the Pennsylvania Outdoor Life Expos. Viewers have watched as the center has rehabilitated such animals as owls, hawks and ravens. The most recent historic event for the center was the rehabilitation and release of a bald eagle. As a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Wildlife Rehabilitators, Susan will continue to help wildlife while educating the public.
She enjoys hiking, wildlife art, bird watching, and collecting skulls from dead animals. Susan is presently working on a skull collection of over 200 species of animals. She is also an expert on local bat populations as well as raptors and birds of prey.
