Field Staff: Jackie Vass

Jackie Vass is best known for her position as the Chief of the Community Recreation Division. She has been involved with the planning of outdoor events such as an annual fishing derby, expos and youth hunting events just to name a few. Jackie is a certified Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission boating safety instructor, Pennsylvania Hunter Education Instructor and serves as a Deputy Game Officer at her place of employment.

She is a member of the Lake Region Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) where she has been involved in the Women in the Outdoors program. Most recently Jackie has been reporting for Pennsylvania Outdoor Life and will continue to represent the show.

Jackie grew up in a hunting family. Jackie and her husband George continue the hunting family tradition. Their interests include archery, turkey and bear hunting, trap shooting, fishing and horseback riding.
