    WILKES-BARRE — Missing: a life-size statue of President Obama. Someone swiped the statue off the porch of a home in Wilkes-Barre, and it upset the owner so much, she ended up in a hospital.     Big Rig Rolls Off of Interstate 80

    NESCOPECK — A tractor-trailer went off the road down a 100 foot embankment on Thursday in Luzerne County. The big rig drove off of Interstate 80 east near Nescopeck around 6:30 a.m. Troopers said the truck driver lost control, went off of I-80, and rolled down a 100 foot embankment and landed on its side.     UPDATE: Rolling Roadblocks on Interstate 81 During Rush Hour

    JENKINS TOWNSHIP — PennDOT announced that crews plan to move a large crane that will affect traffic on Interstate 81 and Route 315 in Luzerne County Thursday evening.     UPDATE: Amber Alert: Abducted Children Safe, Father Found Dead in Apparent Suicide

    UPDATE: State Attorney General Kathleen Kane is reporting the two boys are safe and sound.   Authorities located the boys at a CVS in Staten Island, New York around 7:00 Thursday morning. Authorities said the boy’s father, Keith Belajonas, was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.  Troopers said he killed the children’s mother at a home near Philadelphia then took the children.     Three People Locked Up in Meth Lab Bust

    MILTON — Police in Northumberland County took three people into custoday after officers dismantled a dangerous drug operation. Authorities said they went to a home on Broadway Street in Milton on Wednesday to serve a warrant.  Once inside officers said they found a methamphetamine lab. State police were called in to take it apart.  Angel Prokop, Ace Elmore and Clifton Elmore were all arrested in the raid.

    Alleged Drug Dealers Sold Heroin, Pills with Grandson in Car

    KINGSTON — Two people are accused of dealing drugs while a one year old sat in the back of a car. Investigators cuffed Alfred Singleton, 46, and Shalette Jones, 43, late Wednesday night.  Authorities said Jones drove Singleton to a drug deal on Wyoming Avenue on Wednesday with her grandson in the backseat.     Luzerne County Council Chairman Hit With PFA

    DALLAS TOWNSHIP — The chairman of the Luzerne County Council was slapped with a temporary restraining order. A judge signed the protection from abuse order against Rick Morelli Wednesday afternoon.  It was requested by a woman from Dallas. The order mandates that Council Chairman Morelli stop harassing and stalking the woman.  He was also ordered to turn in any weapons to the county sheriff. A hearing is set for August 7th.
