    WALKER TOWNSHIP — A man is locked up for attempted homicide after he shot another man in the face, according to state police in Schuylkill County. Officials said John Edwin Clause, 58, of Tamaqua, drove to Mark Scheitrum’s home in Walker Township, and shot him in the face after an argument.     Businesses Burned by Fire

    TEXAS TOWNSHIP — Businesses destroyed by a fire are getting ready for clean up in Wayne County. According to officials, the fire started around 9:30 p.m. Saturday along Route 6 near Honesdale. The owner of 2 Cousins Construction and Savannah’s Inspirational Woodworking said his businesses were wrecked by the fire. Officials said a state police fire marshal is expected to look into the fire on Sunday. No one was hurt in Saturday night’s fire near Honesdale in Wayne County.

    Man Found Dead in Montoursville

    MONTOURSVILLE — A man was found dead in Lycoming County Sunday morning. The body of Edward White, 77, of Williamsport,  was found along Fairview Drive and Cemetery Road in Montoursville just after 12:30 a.m., according to state police. Officials said the man was shot and his body was dumped at that location. Police said they do not believe the public is in any danger and the homicide is under investigation.     LOYALSOCK TOWNSHIP — Police are on scene of a deadly incident in Lycoming County. Crime scene tape and officers line East Third Street in Loyalsock Township where the incident happened Sunday morning. Multiple witnesses told Newswatch 16 there was a police pursuit before a car went off the road. The car crashed and authorities found the driver dead inside.     Interstate 81 Crash in Moosic Creates Morning Traffic

    MOOSIC — A multiple-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 slowed the morning commute for drivers in Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties. State police said the crash happened just before 8 a.m. near the Davis Street and Montage Mountain Road Exit (182) northbound on the Interstate, and was backed up past the Avoca interchange. Troopers said four vehicles were involved in the wreck. One man was hurt and taken to a hospital. Investigators said charges against one of the drivers are pending.

    PLAINS TOWNSHIP — Crews cleaned up a wreck that created traffic problems on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Luzerne County. According to officials, a tractor-trailer rolled over in the northbound lanes near the Wyoming Valley exit around 5 a.m. Tuesday. Troopers said the truck was carrying a load of bottled water.     Lansford Shooting Victims in Critical Condition

    LANSFORD — Police said two people are in critical condition after a shooting late Saturday night in Carbon County. Authorities said shots were fired inside a home in the 400 block of West Patterson Street in Lansford.     Road Deteriorating in Susquehanna County

    SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY — A stretch of road between Gibson and New Milford is in bad shape. Drivers said they had to drive on the wrong side of Route 547 to get by the damage on the curvy road. The road is heavily traveled by fracking and fresh water truck traffic from nearby gas drilling sites. There is no word when the road will be repaired in Susquehanna County.
