    Water Main Break Causes Mess in Columbia County

    SCOTT TOWNSHIP — Another pipe break in our area has part of a road shut down in Columbia County. Water was seen spewing into the air on Old Berwick Road near Bloomsburg. The break happened around 5 a.m. Monday morning. Crews say traffic is being detoured around the mess. Officials have not said how many homes are affected by this water main break.

    Broken Pipe Causes Road Closures in Luzerne County

    UPDATE: According to PA American Water, repairs have been made and service is back on. WILKES-BARRE — Some homes in part of Luzerne County were without water Monday morning. A broken water pipe on East Charles Street near Wilkes-Barre was found around 2:30 a.m. Crews had the street shutdown from South Main Street to the end of the road until about 6:45 a.m. About 40 homes were affected by the break.

    WAYMART — Officials say intense fog and wet roads are to blame for a crash that chased a family out of their home in Wayne County. A rig hauling propane crashed on Route 6 around 9:30 p.m. When crews arrived, they say they found propane leaking from the truck and wires down.
