POLK TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police spent Thursday evening at a home on Peggy Lane near Kunkletown investigating a shooting.

"I was wondering what all the cop cars were doing here when I came in. I thought something happened to my wife, you know?"

State troopers say William Anderson, 71, was shot in the arm, side, and leg at the home around 3:30 p.m. He is expected to be OK.

Neighbors who were around at the time say they heard a gunshot.

"It kind of shakes you up a little bit. Wondering why, what was going on. Why the man would be shot because he was a really nice man. I had no idea why anyone would shoot him," said Robert Eardley.

The suspect got away. Police believe it was a man dressed in all black, wearing a camo mask and driving a black car.

They say this was an isolated incident and believed the victim knows who the suspect is.

"Basically, you really don't see any traffic up here whatsoever. So, for it to just be a random thing, I would tend to say no," said a neighbor who did not want to be identified.

"Hopefully, they catch him and that'll be the end of that and life will go on and hopefully the gentlemen heals up and everybody will be good."

Police say they do have some potential suspects they are looking at and say there is no danger to the public.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact police.
