COVINGTON TOWNSHIP -- Wrecks involving a bus and a box truck also stalled the morning commute for hundreds of drivers in Lackawanna County.

Both lanes of Interstate 380 south were shut down from around 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. It happened between the Daleville and Gouldsboro exits.

Emergency crews say freezing rain caused two wrecks. First, a bus slid off the highway. The 10 people on board weren't hurt.

Shortly after that, the driver of this box truck tried slowing down and crashed.

"I started to break and I lost control," said Waldy Mizynski. "It's slippery like hell."

"A sheet of ice, sheet of ice. Guys just trying to go too fast and this is what happens," George Marcinkevich said.

Both lanes of Interstate 380 south between the Daleville and Gouldsboro exits are back open.
