Lackawanna County Honors Fallen Marine

SCRANTON -- A marine killed in World War II was honored Thursday at the Lackawanna County Courthouse.

Harold Hannon died in the south pacific in 1943.

County officials gave his family a proclamation for "Harold Hannon Day" and unveiled a large portrait.

Hannon's remains were identified two years ago and brought home on Wednesday.

He will be buried in Scranton on Saturday.
