PORTER TOWNSHIP -- Some communities are cleaning up storm damage after wild rainy weather overnight.

Porter Township Emergency Management posted pictures on its Facebook page of a tree that fell on a home and a vehicle in Reinerton, near Tower City.

Kathy Witmer can't believe this is what her home of more than a decade looks like now.

"We were in bed sleeping and a tree fell on the house, on the car," Witmer said.

A large tree fell on her home in Porter Township near Tower City during a storm overnight.

Her minivan was also destroyed.

"I had two grandchildren in bed sleeping. It went through their windows and woke them up. Went through my bedroom roof into my bedroom, took my chimney off."

Porter Township Emergency Management says that Witmer's home is the only one in the area to sustain so much damage.

Officials estimate the wind was going about 60 miles an hour when the tree fell.

Witmer plans to use insurance to repair her home. She's just thankful no one got hurt.

"Just to be alive, yes, my boys, my grandkids, yes."

In addition to the damage at Witmer's home, PPL estimates that about 200 homes are still without power near Ravine and that it should be restored Monday evening.
