SCRANTON -- A mother from Scranton is locked up for allegedly neglecting her child.
Police say Rebecca Palukonis, 35, failed to get her baby medical care when the child became sick.
Officers allege she waited too long to seek help and when she finally did last month, the baby was suffering from severe malnutrition, liver and kidney damage.
