RadioShack no longer sells the things that made it unique. You once could buy all the parts you needed to build an actual radio. Now it’s just junky cellphone accessories and overpriced knickknacks.

Now there is nowhere to go when you need small parts. You will pay a ton, and maybe get the wrong stuff.

99.9% of what they sell can be found online, and for a lot less. It wasn’t a bad business model in it’s day, but they would have had to make major changes in it to keep the company going, and those changes would have likely had to include getting rid of the brick and mortar business entirely.

In the old days, the most annoying thing about them was trying to get your name and address before they’d sell you something. Now, if you’re buying something online, that just comes with the territory.
