HARVEYS LAKE -- A distracted driver crashed her car right into Harveys Lake.
It happened around noon Wednesday. Video was sent to Newswatch 16 by Ken Bolesta of Harveys Lake.
Police say the driver was looking at her phone for directions and ended up in the lake.
The driver was able to get out of the car. She was not hurt.
"There have been some interesting occurrences at that intersection down the road from that, but I can see that happening if you're not paying attention or you're distracted," said Larry Spaciano of Lake Township. "It's a pretty steep drop into the lake, so it's not totally surprising."
Firefighters and a towing company were able to fish the woman's car out of the lake.
