BELLEFONTE -- The son of convicted sex offender Jerry Sandusky has been arrested on child sex charges.
Jeffrey Sandusky, 41, was arrested Monday on child sex abuse charges. He is one of Jerry Sandusky's adopted children. He's locked up in Centre County on $200,000 bail. The charges date back to March of 2013 and March of 2016 and involve two alleged victims.
The adopted son of Jerry Sandusky said nothing as he was brought to court in Bellefonte to face the child sex charges.
The criminal complaint against Jeffrey Sandusky is heavily redacted and does not reveal the gender of the children, described only as under the age of 16.
In one case, police records show the parent of one of the children discovered texts from Sandusky to one of the children and police say the child did not feel safe alone with Sandusky and feared Sandusky was peeping in on him or her while showering.
A second child told investigators of texts received in 2013. The report said the texts confirmed the statements, "don't tell mom" and that Sandusky wanted to know, "how it felt."
Jerry Sandusky, a former assistant football coach at Penn State University, was found guilty in 2012 on 45 counts of sexual abuse involving young boys. He was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison.
Jeffrey Sandusky is scheduled to be in court for a preliminary hearing February 22.
