MILTON -- A fire has left two families out in the cold in Northumberland County.
The flames started after 8 p.m. Sunday at the Hepburn Acres apartments in Milton.
The fire gutted one half of a duplex, leaving the other half with heavy smoke and water damage.
Fire officials say seven people are displaced, but all got out safely.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital for breathing in smoke.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
