SCRANTON -- It looked like Santa was trying to get in shape on the streets of downtown Scranton.
The annual Santa 5k started out at Kildare's Irish Pub on Jefferson Avenue around 1 p.m. Sunday.
Nearly 100 runners took to the streets, even with the slushy road conditions.
"It's always nice to get out and give back any way you can. The conditions were perfect, in my opinion. It was sloppy. It was snowing, but it's Christmas. Why would you want it any other way?" said R.J. Stiltenpole, who finished in third place.
The 5k benefits the Scranton firefighters' "Operation Warm" and Catholic Social Services.
