Beaver Stadium is buzzing.

"A lot of people are saying, you know, 'good luck in Pasadena,'" sophomore QB Trace McSorley said. "People come up and say, 'I can't wait to be going out there,' you know, 'we'll see you out there' and things like that. So it's been a ton of good energy, ton of good positivity around."

"Penn state football's becoming winning football again," sophomore RB Saquon Barkley said. "(It's) going back to the old tradition. That's what this school is used to. That's what this community is used to and they're loving it and we're loving it also."

Loving a trip to the Rose Bowl, the fourth in school history, but after all this program has been through recently, this bowl trip means a little more.

"People are excited," Head Coach James Franklin said. "I think people have heard me say and our players say, you know, one of the thing's we're probably most proud of is, for as long as I can remember, people have been talking about what Penn State was and I think for the first time in a long time, people are talking about what Penn State is."

"We're just trying to prove that Penn State's back," senior DE Evan Schwan said. "Prove to everyone that doubted us throughout this entire process that it just goes to show what togetherness and love and just hard work can do for a group of people."

It can win championships and make drams come true.

"I'm an East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania kid that got his dream, the opportunity to come back home and build this program and we still got a long ways to go, but we're taking steps in the right direction," Franklin said.
