LAKE ARIEL -- Some Christmas cheer was delivered to a nursing home Thursday evening in Wayne County.

The Western Wayne School District has been raising money to buy gifts for residents at the Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center in Lake Ariel.

Thursday night, fourth-grade students from Evergreen Elementary stopped by the home to meet the residents and pass out their presents.

"I feel so happy, I could cry," said Resident Betty Klim who added she had never been so happy in her entire life.

Residents at the home in Wayne County received new robes and slippers to keep them warm and cozy during the winter months.
