CARBONDALE -- Some talented young ladies form Lackawanna County are about to embark on a big holiday trip.
The 13 young twirlers from Carbondale are going to New Orleans to perform inside the Superdome for the Sugar Bowl on January 2.
Instructor Lynnette Lepre-Van Deusen will accompany the girls to Louisiana for their big moment in the spotlight.
"This is a very big endeavor, just waiting to see how the experience is going to turn out," she said.
The girls will also entertain crowds at a New Year's Eve parade in the Big Easy.
