WILKES-BARRE — Wilkes-Barre is getting more than $1 million to fix crumbling sidewalks and make them accessible to people with disabilities
State Representative Eddie Day Pashinski announced state funding for the project on George Avenue between Parkin and Scott Streets.
The $600,000 project also calls for new street lighting and trees.
Another $430,000 will go to roadwork and new sidewalks between East Northampton and West Market Streets in Wilkes-Barre.
