Money to Spruce Up Wilkes-Barre Sidewalks

WILKES-BARRE — Wilkes-Barre is getting more than $1 million to fix crumbling sidewalks and make them accessible to people with disabilities

State Representative Eddie Day Pashinski announced state funding for the project on George Avenue between Parkin and Scott Streets.

The $600,000 project also calls for new street lighting and trees.

Another $430,000 will go to roadwork and new sidewalks between East Northampton and West Market Streets in Wilkes-Barre.

spend it all on filling in the potholes please, no more trees, all they do is drop leaves and block storm drains because DPW doesn’t do much. Thank you
