EAST STROUDSBURG -- Some students at East Stroudsburg University learned that generosity and gift giving bears repeating.

The annual ESU Teddy Bear Drive was held by the East Stroudsburg University student senate on Saturday.

The students collected and distributed toys and stuffed animals for kids up to age 12. Each child received a teddy bear along with another toy.

Santa and Mrs. Claus visited with the children as well. There were arts and crafts, games, and holiday music.

Organizers invited families from Monroe County Children and Youth and the Pocono Family YMCA to attend the holiday gathering.

"This is our way of providing community service, and really giving back to them and showing them how we feel about the holidays and spreading our holiday spirit to them," said Keisha Kauffman, ESU student.

This was the 17th year for the toy drive in Monroe County.
