President Obama signed a disaster declaration for parts of our area impacted by October's flash floods.

According to FEMA, the disaster declaration for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was for public assistance, which provides funding for emergency work, infrastructure repair or replacement, and other similar costs. It also includes hazard mitigation funding.

At this time the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has not requested individual assistance funding. Additional information on this declaration for severe storms and flooding may be found on the FEMA website.

The funding will help in Bradford, Centre, Lycoming and Sullivan County.

According to FEMA, additional designations may be made at a later date if requested by Pennsylvania.

More information on the declaration can be found HERE and HERE.
