SOUTH ABINGTON TOWNSHIP -- Work is complete on the bridge that carries the Pennsylvania Turnpike's northeast extension over Routes 6 and 11 near Clarks Summit.
For more than a year, crews have been doing maintenance work on the top of the John E. Fitzgerald Memorial Bridge and on the steel supports underneath as well.
The work is now wrapped up, and the steel underneath the bridge has a fresh coat of paint.
All lanes are now open on the bridge in Lackawanna County.
