UPDATE: Both lanes of Interstate 81 south reopened around 8 a.m. Wednesday after a tractor trailer fire in Susquehanna County.

LENOX TOWNSHIP -- A tractor trailer fire has a part of Interstate 81 south closed in Susquehanna County.

Both lanes of I-81 are shut down near the rest area between the Lenox and Glenwood exits.

Officials say it could be closed for several hours.

The big rig hauling paper products and plastic bags caught fire on the highway near Lenox just after 3 a.m. Wednesday.

The traffic is being detoured at the Lenox exit.

No one was hurt in that tractor trailer fire in Susquehanna County.
