SALEM TOWNSHIP -- The sale of the nuclear power plant in Luzerne County has been approved.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission approved the license transfer of the plant located near Berwick.
Riverstone Holdings is in the in process of taking over the plant from Talen Energy.
Officials say this transfer is not expected to impact the plant's operations or on its staff.
